Service Manager Rick Bultitude has been a fixture at West Coast Toyota since January of 2008, almost 10 years! Rick is a man on the move making sure that his staff and his customers are well taken care of. If he’s not serving up mocha’s and conversating with the customers, he can be found delegating or down in the trenches washing cars himself to help catch up, move things along and prevent our customers from having to wait too long. No job is too big or too small for Rick, and he always has time to chat. How he manages to run his department with over 30 employees and keep things running smoothly while going through our renovation is truly astounding. It’s those moments when everything seems to be going sideways that Rick always manages to keep it together and to prioritize what needs to be done. His staff look up to him and his many years of experience in the Industry serves us well.

On a personal level Rick is very proud of his 2 sons Mike and Steve both of whom are accomplished young men, Mike with an Engineering degree and Steve having graduated with a degree in Geology. In the past 2 years, Rick and his longtime girlfriend Iulia bought a place together, moving closer to Maple Ridge from White Rock. Rick is a huge fan of fishing, and as I write this spotlight he is standing in the Stave River in the pouring rain on a Friday afternoon…now that’s dedication. If he’s not fishing, then Rick is golfing, playing baseball in the summer and hockey in the winter on the ‘old timers’ team or riding his bicycle for miles and miles. Rick is in better shape than many men half his age, and it shows.

When the West Coast Toyota building is completed in November Rick will be a very happy Manager. It has been a challenging year for our service and parts staff as well as our customers, and we will all be happy to be back in the brand new fully renovated dealership with double the capacity.
