Richard Canicula has been a Pro-Technician with West Coast Toyota for the past year. Richard officially received his Red Seal* when he was just 21 years old, an accomplishment to be proud of. Part of Richards duties include preventative maintenance, diagnose problems and repair the vehicle systems of cars as well as trucks. This includes engine, vehicle management, hybrid, steering, braking, drive train, suspension, electrical, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. He also works on restraints, trim and accessories.

Richard says he enjoys coming to work each day and the comradery shared with his co-workers, it’s a real team effort. When not working or studying on his next level with Toyota Canada, you can find Richard Snowboarding, riding motorcycles, camping, off-roading and exploring the local trails. Richard is very happy to have recently moved back to the Maple Ridge area from Mission with his girlfriend and is happy to be a part of our community once again. Thanks for all of your hard work Richard and your ongoing commitment to increasing your knowledge of the ever-changing and always improving Toyota vehicle.

* The Red Seal was established in 1959 and represents a standard of excellence for the industry. Through the program, tradespersons are able to obtain a Red Seal endorsement on their provincial/territorial certificates by successfully completing an inter-provincial Red Seal examination. There are currently 55 trades included in the Red Seal Program on a national basis.
