2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro
Says Bring It On To Canadian Terrain (video)

Recently making its Canadian debut in the heart of Canadian truck country, Toyota’s mid-sized 2020 Tacoma wears its legendary desert race truck heritage proudly, with upgraded features and style – plus even more off-roading prowess on the awe-inspiring TRD Pro models.

“Albertans know the meaning of work hard and play hard – and so does the Toyota Tacoma, which is why we’re excited to debut the 2020 model in Edmonton,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Visitors to the Edmonton Motorshow can find out why the Tacoma has been North America’s best-selling mid-size pick-up truck for 14 years running – and how we’ve taken that winning combination and made it better than ever. When you’re looking for a perfect partner – for whatever your needs – Tacoma’s got your back, every time.”

Designed for every truck enthusiast, the 2020 Toyota Tacoma is available in more than half a dozen combinations of cab size, bed size, engine displacement, and drivetrain configuration. Model grades include the work-ready SR series, the high-style, high-value SR5, the athletic TRD Sport, the adventurous TRD Off-Road, the ultimate trailblazer TRD Pro, and the top of the line Limited – ensuring there’s a Toyota Tacoma for every need, desire and budget.

The most muscular Tacoma yet – the TRD Pro series – returns for 2020 with a revised look and new features. Sequential LED/DRL headlamps, 16” alloy wheels, black-insert tail-lamps and Rigid Industries LED fog lights headline the exterior changes. A new Panoramic View Monitor and Multi Terrain Monitor provide high-tech off-roading assistance while maximizing visibility for the driver with the ability to view conditions to the front, side and rear of the vehicle. Other upgrades include retuned suspension systems, while a newly available Army Green is the TRD Pro exclusive colour for 2020.

Almost every new 2020 Tacoma debuts a new front grille and new or updated wheel design. A new 10-way power driver’s seat enhances comfort on most models, while Tacoma’s multimedia system receives an upgrade with support for Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. Other upgrades, depending on model, include updated touchscreens for the multimedia system and an available LED bed lamp.

And to ensure every trip is a safe trip, all Tacoma models are standard equipped with Toyota Safety Sense P – a bundle of active safety technologies that extend driver capabilities to help avoid accidents.

For Tacoma TRD Sport, a new grille and 17-inch wheel highlight the changes. It also adds Passenger Smart Key entry, chrome taillamp inserts, and new LED fog lamps. A new LED DRL and LED headlight is available, as is the new LED bed lamp. The new Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) is available on Sport grades, and it provides views around the truck for easier, safer maneuvering in tight situations.

Tacoma TRD Off-Road will feature a new front grille design, LED foglamp, chrome insert taillamp and Passenger Smart Key entry. To provide a better view of the terrain under the vehicle, Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) is available. A new LED DRL and LED headlight is an available upgrade, as is a LED bed lamp. TRD Off-Road also comes standard with TRD-tuned Bilstein shocks, locking rear differential, Hill Assist Control (HAC), Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control.
