2023 Toyota Camry
A Perfect Family Sedan

While many drivers are under the impression that an SUV is the only option for a family, the 2023 Toyota Camry shows that sedans can do all the same things, just better.

A Market Mainstay

“Over eight generations (the current version debuted for the 2018 model year), Toyota kept improving the Camry while retaining all the qualities for which it is renowned. These attributes include reliability, spacious cabins, reliability, robust resale values, reliability, comfort, and even more reliability. It’s the midsize sedan that gives the people what they want.” — Colin Ryan, KBB

The Toyota Camry is a mainstay of the midsize sedan segment. For 40 years, it has offered reliability and pleasantry in every aspect of its being, from its easy exterior styling to its safety-focused design. While it does not offer the raised driving position of SUVs, it matches them in every other way.

Solid Driving

“Since its introduction to the U.S. market, way back in 1983, the Toyota Camry has been one of the most popular and successful sedans in its class. The latest-generation Camry is roomy, comfortable, sharp-looking and pleasant to drive.” — Kurt Niebuhr, Edmunds

Several engine options are available for the 2023 Toyota Camry, as well as front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options. With the weather quickly cooling down, drivers might want to opt for an all-wheel-drive version for increased traction control in all weather conditions. Even though it’s lower to the ground, the AWD Camry can power through the snow with little issue.

The standard engine is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder that delivers 203 horsepower and offers 6.1 L/100km highway fuel economy with FWD and 6.8 L/100km highway fuel economy with AWD. An upgraded engine option is a 3.5-litre V6 engine that delivers 301 horsepower and amazing pep. The gem of the lineup, it rockets the Camry to another level.

Toyota also offers the 2023 Camry in a hybrid model, which delivers 208 horsepower and 5.2 L/100km combined fuel economy. Every model of the Camry offers a controlled ride and responsive handling. It’s easy to maneuver in tight spaces, and the responsive brake pedal gives you a good feeling of control.

Stylish Interior

The interior of the 2023 Toyota Camry is spacious and comfortable, and the higher trim levels are downright luxurious. The materials are well chosen, seamlessly blending throughout the cabin, of which the highlight is the center section of the dashboard with a touchscreen infotainment system. While options differ based on the model chosen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the lineup.

A Safe Space

Toyota long ago made the decision to make driver-assist technologies standard on every model of their vehicles, and that tradition continues with the 2023 Camry. The included Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ equips the Camry with a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and bicycle detection, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and dynamic radar cruise control. Other systems are available as well.

A Smart Choice

“In a world awash in SUVs, the Camry continues to offer the old-school alternative of a competent, comfortable, dependable, economical, low-key midsize family sedan.” — Caleb Miller, Car and Driver

Many vehicle models have come and gone over the four decades that the Toyota Camry has been around. Its dedication to quality, safety, and reliability has not gone unnoticed, and the continual addition of available features (safety systems, all-wheel drive, and more) make it a rock-solid choice for drivers across Canada.
