2019 Toyota CH-R
Built To Stand Out From The Crowd (+ video)

“There’s nothing quite like the C-HR for its blend of distinct styling, amenities, and technology – plus incredible driving fun,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “In just its second year of production, we’re already enhancing our unique coupe/crossover with additional features and a selection of trim levels to make it even easier to find your perfect C-HR.”

The C-HR defies convention, and is unlike anything Toyota has ever created. Curbside, it’s distinctive from every angle, with sculpted, athletic styling. The C-HR features a raised ride height and angled rear window that combine to create a sporty yet passenger-friendly cabin, as well as a unique silhouette. Modern touches include slim projector-style headlamps that wrap deep into the body’s character lines, LED daytime running lights, colour-keyed mirrors, a cantilevered rear spoiler and sculpted taillights.

The excitement continues inside the C-HR, where there’s no need to sacrifice comfort for style. The interior features room for five, or up to 1,031 litres (36.4 cubic feet) of cargo behind the front sport seats. The 60/40 split fold-down rear seat, slim seatbacks, generous footwells and headliner design maximize C-HR’s ability to accommodate people and gear, while still offering plenty of comfort for rear-seat passengers.

Style-wise, the interior functions as well as it looks and feels – with precise placement of instruments and controls to create a driver-centric environment. The leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob provides a premium appearance and confident grip, while the instrument panel features a piano black trim accent, soft-touch materials, and diamond-pattern accents. There’s plenty of thoughtful in-cabin storage, too.

The C-HR delivers pure pleasure performance, with deep bolstered front seats designed to keep occupants connected to the road and securely in place when burning through tight corners. Under the hood, C-HR’s 2.0L four-cylinder engine sends up to 144 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission with intelligent shift. Sequential shift mode provides manual-like shifting between seven virtual gears, while Sport Driving Mode amps up the throttle response to fully unleash C-HR’s spirited personality.

The C-HR is big on amenities. New for 2019, all models feature Entune 3.0, Apple CarPlay and Smart Device Link. They join the C-HR’s new 8-inch Display Audio system with six speakers and steering wheel-mounted controls plus Bluetooth connectivity, the Aha Audio System Internet Radio and Gracenote Database to create a complete, modern information and entertainment system. Comfort is assured with dual-zone air conditioning, while a 4.2” multi-information display with steering wheel-mounted controls provides important information to the driver at a glance.

The C-HR is also big on safety. All C-HR models come standard equipped with Toyota Safety Sense P. This bundle of advanced safety systems (now standard on 95% of Toyota vehicles) includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection function that provides forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking… Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist function… Automatic High Beams… and full speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Other standard safety features include the six active technologies of the Toyota Star Safety System, 10 airbags, a backup camera, direct tire pressure monitoring system, and more.
