For more than a decade, Nissan has been a pioneer in mass-market electric vehicles with more than 500,000 LEAF vehicles sold globally and far more than 8 billion EV kilometres driven worldwide. Now, the company is further demonstrating that commitment to mass-market electric cars by making it even more accessible and providing even more value to customers. Qualified purchasers may also be eligible for potential provincial & federal EV incentives.

LEAF is equipped with a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery and 110-kW electric motor that delivers 147 horsepower, 236 lb-ft of torque and up to 240 kms of range. It is available in the SV trim.
Nissan LEAF PLUS features a larger-capacity 62-kWh lithium-ion battery, increasing the range to up to 363 kms (LEAF S PLUS only). LEAF PLUS also features a more powerful 160 kW motor that produces 214 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. LEAF PLUS is offered in three trim levels – S PLUS, SV PLUS and SL PLUS.
Produced at plants in the U.S. Japan, and the U.K., the Nissan LEAF is sold in 59 markets around the world. As its battery capacity, performance and efficiency have continued to improve, the LEAF has evolved from a city commuter to a versatile car that meets a wide range of customer needs and lifestyles.
Beyond mobility, the Nissan LEAF has contributed to society by helping power homes and businesses and providing emergency electricity during natural disasters. Alongside Nissan’s other electrified powertrain vehicles, the LEAF continues to show the way to a sustainable, resilient, zero-emission society.
Benefits of electric mobility
From the pioneering first version in 2010 to the LEAF PLUS introduced in 2019, the 500,000 customers who have chosen the LEAF have helped drivers around the world realize the benefits of electric vehicles, both in terms of sustainability and in their daily lives.
Nissan estimates that LEAF owners have driven their cars approximately 10 billion miles (16 billion kilometres) cumulatively, worldwide, preventing more than 3.5 billion pounds (2.5 billion kilograms) of CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere.
Today’s customers also expect electric cars to make their daily lives more enjoyable. Nissan is developing a growing lineup of advanced electrified cars and technologies that meet a wide range of needs and help customers feel more confident, connected and excited.

Every 2022 Nissan LEAF is offered with a limited lithium-ion battery warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship for eight years or 160,000 kms, whichever comes first, for the battery pack. Nissan also provides a limited warranty against battery capacity loss, below nine bars of capacity as shown on the vehicle’s battery capacity level gauge for the first eight years or 160,000 kms for all models.
