2019 Mazda CX-9
The Evolution of Excellence (video)

Mazda has made the updated 2019 CX-9 more of what it has already been made famous for: quality, passion, safety, refinement and unparalleled value. With refinements to the suspension and steering systems delivering more linear vehicle behaviour along with a higher quality ride, the competition now has an even steeper hill to climb.

New features in the cabin include an available frameless rear-view mirror for a cleaner look and higher quality interior ambience. Meanwhile, newly available front-seat ventilation provides even greater comfort that customers will appreciate on every drive.

ADVANCES IN SAFETY

Seatbelt Reminders
Seatbelt reminders were available only for the front seats in the previous model, but the updated CX-9 features them on the second- and third-row seats too. Prompting passengers in the rear seats to fasten their seatbelts contributes to improved safety.

Seven-inch LCD centre display
The updated CX-9 features a seven-inch TFT LCD display located in the centre of the meter cluster. By displaying a variety of information directly in the driver’s line of sight, it reduces the amount of eye movement required and improves readability. Regular status indicators appear in the lower centre portion of the meter, a layout that visually distinguishes them from warning alerts and makes it easier for the driver to recognize information that indicates some sort of problem.

360° View Monitor
Four cameras on the front, sides and rear of the vehicle show the area around the car on a central display. In conjunction with eight parking sensors at the front and rear that detect proximity to obstacles and trigger an alarm when necessary, the system helps the driver perceive obstacles they cannot see. By allowing the driver to see into blind spots and check the distance to obstacles visually, the system can be very helpful when pulling into or out of parking spaces, when entering T junctions with poor visibility, when passing oncoming traffic on narrow roads and in various similar situations.

MORE COMFORT

Front seat ventilation
The front seats of the updated CX-9 with leather upholstery now feature a ventilation system that extracts hot air trapped between the occupant and the seat surfaces via tiny holes in the leather of the backrest and seat cushion. This provides front occupants a more comfortable driving environment. The system offers three-stage control of airflow.

Automatic retracting door mirrors
This system automatically retracts the mirrors when the doors are locked and deploys them when the doors are unlocked using the advanced keyless entry system. By allowing customers to check whether or not the doors are locked simply by glancing at the door mirrors, the system contributes to greater security and peace of mind.

SUPERIOR CONNECTIVITY

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
The updated Mazda Connect system in the 2019 CX-9 now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition to the latest software version of Mazda Connect., the CX-9 will also receive a more powerful, faster- charging 2.1-amp USB port to help power the connection with these new features.
