Culinary Celebration
Dine Out Vancouver Festival Back for 2020

Vancouver is known for its fantastic restaurants and unique culinary culture. Experience the very best that the city’s food scene has to offer at the annual Dine Out Vancouver Festival.

Hosted by Tourism Vancouver, the Dine Out Vancouver Festival regularly attracts more than 100,000 people. Enjoy a host of different food adventures, from dining at some of Vancouver’s top restaurants to attending culinary events throughout the city. This year’s festival will be taking place over 17 days from Friday, January 17th all the way until Sunday, February 2nd, giving you plenty of opportunity to take it all in.

Winter used to be a much slower time for Vancouver’s restaurant industry, as people are much less eager to venture out in the cold. That all changed in 2003 with the very first Dine Out Vancouver Festival, which had 57 participating restaurants. Over the years, the festival has grown into the largest food and drink celebration in all of Canada. A wide variety of restaurants take part, from fine dining establishments to family-friendly diners.

More than 300 restaurants participated in last year’s festival, and a similar number is expected to take part in 2020. Each restaurant will be offering its own fixed-price, multi-course brunch, lunch, and dinner menus. Patrons will get to choose from $15, $25, $35, and $45 menu options. Dine Out Vancouver is a wonderful opportunity to try some of the restaurants’ finest offerings at a very affordable price.

Vancouver is an incredibly diverse and multicultural city, and this diversity is reflected in the Dine Out Festival. In fact, the festival has helped put some of the city’s top Asian restaurants on the map. Sample your way through different cultural cuisines and make it a goal to try something new every day. The food culture is also heavily reliant on fresh ingredients from the surrounding valleys and waters, which are abundant in produce and seafood.

In addition to the participating restaurants, the Dine Out Vancouver Festival includes a stellar lineup of events that will be taking place over the course of the entire 17 days. Sign up for a variety of different tours that explore the city’s brewery, coffee, Dim Sum, wine, and seafood scenes. Other events include culinary classes and workshops, guest chef dinner series, culinary pop-ups, and more! Street Food City will also be back for its ninth year outside of the Vancouver Art Gallery during Dine Out Vancouver.

If you’re coming in from out of town for the Dine Out Vancouver Festival, you can take advantage of easy and affordable accommodations near all of the action. Many hotels are offering customizable Dine & Stay packages to help you get the most out of your visit. There are even special flight discounts available with Air Canada.

Whether you are a foodie or just a fan of good food, the Dine Out Vancouver Festival will exceed all of your culinary expectations. It’s a great way to start the festival year and it is sure to be one of the best events you attend in all of 2020.
