2019 Ford F-Series Super Duty
The Most Advanced Technology Available (video)

North America’s truck leader once again brings heavy-duty truck customers the most capable heavy-duty pickup – the 2019 Ford F-Series Super Duty. Its high-strength steel frame, high-strength, military-grade, aluminium-alloy body, powerful 6.2-litre gas or 6.7-litre Power Stroke® diesel, plus TorqShift® 6-speed transmission all carry over.

Lariat Sport gets a new Appearance Package with premium painted 20-inch aluminium wheels. An available FordPass™ Connect embedded 4G LTE modem is added for greater connectivity, while an available 1,000-watt, 10-speaker B&O PLAY premium audio system treats customers to top-shelf sound. In keeping with consumer trends, CD players are no longer available.

Only in a Ford Super Duty® will you find the available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert and trailer coverage. * BLIS alerts you in the outside mirror when a vehicle is detected in a blind spot — and provides coverage for the truck you’re driving as well as the trailer you’re towing. The cross-traffic alert feature (for the truck only) can detect a vehicle passing behind when you’re slowly backing out of a driveway or parking place.

Super Duty® offers an available factory-installed programmable upfitter interface module that helps upfitters connect the vehicle’s electrical system to the body easily and properly. It allows a direct CAN programmable logic interface to control devices using a laptop or notebook.

Super Duty also offers available upfitter switches, located in an overhead console, for a variety of aftermarket accessories such as a winch, lights, strobes and 2-way radio. They’re factory-installed, so there’s no need to cut into the truck’s electrical system. Six switches include two 40-amp switches (ignition on or off) plus four 25-amp switches (ignition on).

A variety of available cameras enhance visibility for easier navigation, and simplification of on-site tasks.

  • The front camera not only provides a view of what is in front of the truck, but also provides a 180-degree view allowing you to see things blocked by objects in your field of view in tight situations.
  • The tailgate camera provides a view behind the truck, but also dynamic lines to show you the intended path of the truck, along with a hitch line to make hooking up a trailer simple, even without a spotter.
  • Cameras in the sideview mirror work in conjunction with the front and tailgate cameras to provide a 360-degree view around the truck (shown above).
  • A camera integrated into the third brake light simplifies hooking up a gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer.
  • The customer-placed rear trailer camera allows a view of what is behind the trailer on the centre stack screen in the cab.

The class-exclusive Trailer Reverse Guidance uses the tailgate and sideview mirror cameras to provide an enhanced view of where the trailer is going, by showing the space beside the trailer, rather than the trailer itself in the centre stack display.
