December is a month full of special moments and busy schedules for all of us so this year we voted to have our end of the year Staff party in January!

The TVH Holiday Party was a chance for us to come together and share an amazing meal and celebrate accomplishments and acknowledge staff achievements made in 2019!

Hitting a Milestone
Our own Michael Barnard celebrated five years with the TVH team in 2019!

Lots can happen in 5 years, and Michael has grown and advanced during his time here are he has moved from our Service department to take on new challenges as a member of our Parts team!

Congratulations Michael! We are looking forward to many more years of working with this amazing guy 🙂

John Lynch keeps us all on his toes with his humour, sports info and genuine drive to add a smile to peoples day.

2019 marked a milestone year for one of our established Sales Associates, Tony Minicola. Tony has been a long standing team member at the dealership and has not only celebrates 15 years with Trent Valley Honda but has also earned our Salesperson of the year for 2019 as well!

Congratulations Tony on another successful year and for reaching this momentous accomplishment! We wish you continued success in 2020!

The Trent Valley Honda team also celebrated Karen McGillen as she celebrated 10 years at the dealership in 2019!

Karen is often referred to as the swiss army knife of the dealership as she has worked in almost every department. Her wit, smile and wealth of knowledge has crossed from Sales to Service to administration and has most recently brought her into a new role as an Accounting Administrator.

Congrats Karen on 10 years!!

Our Senior Finance Manager Melissa Mellor gained her title from not only her extensive finance training, her leadership skills and her uncanny ability to make customers comfortable no matter the situation but also due to her 20 year tenure here at Trent Valley Honda!

Melissa has worked in many roles since her start here at TVH and her passion, knowledge and unmistakable laugh has made her department the successful one that it is. There is not a work day that goes by that we don’t hear her infectious laugh binging a smile to everyones face and our TVH team and Honda family are no doubt better for their experience with her.

Congratulations Melissa on 20 years, we are proud of all you have accomplished!

Trent Valley Honda has many long standing familiar faces that make what we want and need to happen on a daily basis come to life. One of these amazing members of our team is Emine Crowe. Emine has been a loyal member of the TVH family for 25 years and is the backbone and muscle that keeps this place running spot on!

Emine is our Accounting efficianato who ensures purchases are processed accurately, keeps our internal ordering ducks all in a row, keeps our pay cheques on cue (to name a few) and makes TVH a great place to be!

Congratulations Emine on 25 years and we look forward to many more to come!

A BIG TVH congrats goes out to our longest standing employee Ladi Kavcic!

Ladi was hand picked by our founder Frank Mandeljc Sr. who sponsored him to come to Peterborough and work for Trent Valley Honda from his home in Slovenia.

There are few people with the drive, focus and wealth of knowledge that Ladi has for his craft as an automotive Technician. He is often fondly referred to as the Blacksmith of Trent Valley as he can fix anything! He is admired by his peers and often the person to go to for a laugh or a different perspective!

Congratulations Ladi on 30 years at Trent Valley Honda, your loyalty, dedication and prowess is most certainly something to be celebrated!

Employee of the Year!
The strength of our team is our biggest asset, and we had many nominees for 2019’s Employee of the Year award.

Congratulations went out to Clinton Butts on being named Trent Valley Honda’s 2019 Employee of the Year!

Clinton joined our Service team just over a year ago and has been a positive asset to our Technician crew. Clinton’s genuine care for customers and dedication to his continuously honing his skills is evident in everyday. There are few people with the rare quality to look at the positive every situation and strive to always make the best of whatever challenge arises and we know Clinton will continue to lead, grow and shine in our Shop for years to come!

In 2018 following the sudden loss of our Founder Frank Mandeljyc Sr. Trent Valley Honda, an annual bursary award was created in his memory. It is given to the hourly employee who demonstrates dedication, a strong work ethic, initiative and teamwork, who has the potential to progress in the company.

Elfrieda Mandeljc presented this award on behalf of her late husband to Will McKnown. Will works tirelessly in our service department as a lube and tire technician and leads us through tire season as he spearheads our tire storage program and logistics on behalf of our 800 customers who store their tires with us. Congrats Will! You are so appreciated!
