Celebrating the Harvest
Fun Fall Festivals Across New Brunswick

The fall is a wonderful season to spend time outside. It’s also a time when many communities across New Brunswick hold a variety of fall and harvest festivals you should check out.

Interested in heading out with friends and family to enjoy the crisp fall air and changing leaves? Here are six fantastic fall festivals taking place this September and October that celebrate the season and the bountiful harvest of the province.

Hunter Brothers Fall Festival (September 7 – October 27)

The well-loved Hunter Brothers Fall Festival is back and will be running until the end of October at the Hunter Brothers Farm in Florenceville-Bristol. This is a great festival for kids, with plenty of fun activities such as a giant jumping pillow and a “Nascart” track. Another major draw of the festival is the six-acre corn maze that features a new and exciting theme every year. There are also wagon rides, giant slides, a straw playground, and a snack shack where you can grab some refreshments.

Campbellton Harvest Festival (September 13-15)

Come enjoy the beautiful colours of the season at the Campbellton Civic Centre with a weekend packed full of fun activities. Completely free to attend, the Campbellton Harvest Festival is great fun for the whole family. There will be a kid’s corner with activities for the little ones, a petting zoo, a craft and bake sale, and much more.

Saint-Antoine Fall Colors Festival (September 14-22)

Another festival celebrating the changing fall leaves, the Saint-Antoine Fall Colors Festival offers a wide variety of activities and community events, including community breakfasts, creative workshops, sports tournaments, children’s games, and youth dances. The highlight of the festival every year is the parade and exhibition of antique cars at the Show and Shine.

Riverview Harvest Festival (September 25-29)

The Riverview Harvest Festival offers five full days of family entertainment and activities to welcome the season and celebrate the rich harvest. Come check out the market, live entertainment, workshops, pancake breakfasts, and a whole host of other activities with your loved ones. Children’s activities include pony rides, face painting, and storytime at the Riverview Library. A celebration of food, the festival also features the annual chili cook-off.

Kedgwick Fall Festival (October 5-13)

Parades, rallies, sporting competitions, dances, and musical performances are just some of what awaits you at the Kedgwick Fall Festival. This week-long festival offers something for people of all ages and interests. With scenic mountain backdrops and surrounded by beautiful forests, Kedgwick is one of the best spots in the province to experience the season.

Provincial Giant Pumpkin Festival in Neguac (October 6)

Since 1995, the Provincial Giant Pumpkin Festival in Neguac has been awarding the largest pumpkins in the province with prizes amounting to over $2,500. More than 1,000 spectators come from all over to take part in the festivities. Make sure you visit the Neguac Sportplex on Sunday, October 6th to see which giant pumpkin takes home the top prize this year.

From giant pumpkins and corn mazes to parades and pancake breakfasts, these six festivals offer something for everyone. Wherever you happen to be in New Brunswick this fall, there is sure to be a family-friendly fall festival taking place somewhere nearby.
