Embossed and laser-etched across the interior are a number of topographical maps of the summit of Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America. These maps can be found laser-etched on to the open-pore Paldao wood on the front passenger-side dashboard, in the full-grain leather on the front and back of the front seats, rear seat and door panels, as well as on the exterior fender vent badges.
When it comes to propulsion, the Sierra Denali Ultimate’s standard engine is GMC’s 420-horsepower 6.2L V-8 and it is matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission featuring Electronic Precision Shift. Four-wheel drive, with an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case, is standard.

Super Cruise is offered on Sierra Denali Ultimate with a three-year subscription to a GMC Connected Services plan to enable the functionality and available on Sierra Denali. It is the industry’s first true hands-free driver assistance technology for divided and compatible highways across Canada and the U.S.
The new 2022 Sierra Denali Ultimate offers Super Cruise with trailering for divided and compatible highways. It features specific calibrations designed to account for the additional drag and increased braking distance that comes with trailering. When not trailering, Lane Change on Demand and newly added Automatic Lane Change are also available.
Available trailering-capable Super Cruise adds to Sierra’s roster of trailering assistance technologies, which also include up to 14 available camera views, including Transparent Trailer, GCW alert (signals when the maximum weight that can safely be carried is exceeded), in-vehicle trailering app and more.
Canadian Technical Centre engineers supported the development of transparent trailer view, which helps drivers virtually see through a connected, compatible trailer when the truck is properly equipped.
Additionally, GMC Pro Safety is standard on all Sierra trims and includes Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and IntelliBeam auto high-beams.
