Toronto Comicon Returns for Another Season

From Friday, March 20th to Sunday, March 22nd, come down to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for one of the premier comic book & pop culture conventions in Canada. The show always hosts a broad and diverse range of exhibitors, workshops, presentations, and celebrity guests, drawing an all-ages crowd of people from all walks of life.

You’ll likely spend most of your time at Toronto Comicon exploring the more than 400 exhibitors spread out over 150,000 square feet at the show’s annual Shopping Madness extravaganza. Shop for comic books, games, DVDs, T-shirts, toys, and more relating to your favourite fandoms. Make sure you also stop by the Retailer Area for a sneak peek at products and services before they are released to a wider audience.

Fans also flock to Toronto Comicon for the chance to meet their favourite celebrities at autograph and photo sessions. Bring along or buy a special piece of memorabilia to get signed, and then get a glossy photo print of you and one of your heroes. Many voice actors from popular animated TV shows are always in attendance as well, and they love to meet their fans.

Artist Alley is another area you have to visit at Toronto Comicon. Professional and indie artists alike will be set up and offering original artwork and sketches for you to take home. You’ll also have the chance to meet legends in the comic book industry

Of course, Toronto Comicon wouldn’t be complete without the iconic cosplayers. Thousands of fans show up in amazing costumes every year, dressing up as superheroes and anime characters. Popular cosplayers will be hosting panels, autograph sessions, and selfie sessions as well.

If you’re accompanied by a younger comic book fan, then you can stop by the Family Zone for a break away from the crowds and a range of child-friendly activities. Your child can play some board games, make a show souvenir at the arts and crafts table, and even get their face painted!

Every day of the expo promises something new to see and do. The hours are from 10 am to 7 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Ticket prices will vary depending on the day you choose to attend. Adult tickets cost $25 for Friday, $35 for Saturday, and $30 for Sunday. Child tickets for kids aged six to 12 are only $10 each day.

Toronto Comicon is produced by FAN EXPO HQ, one of North America’s largest convention groups. FAN EXPO HQ also presents FAN EXPO CANADA, Calgary Expo, Edmonton Expo, FAN EXPO Regina, FAN EXPO Vancouver, and many expos in the States.

The expo provides an opportunity to celebrate your fandom with other like-minded fans who are just as passionate as you are. Come meet your favourite celebrities, shop for memorabilia, and make some fantastic memories. A fun and welcoming atmosphere helps ensure that everyone has a great time, no matter what drew you there.
