Greet the Growing Season
Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape

Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape is the premier garden and landscape event in the province. It takes place annually near the end of March at Prairieland Park. This year’s show will be held from Friday, March 27th to Sunday, March 30th and promises a weekend full of exciting and informative experiences for avid green thumbs and novice gardeners alike.

Come and enjoy the vivid colours and delightful fragrances of flowers in bloom while you browse all of the latest products for gardening and backyard living from a variety of show exhibitors. Industry experts come from all across the western provinces to attend Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape, and they will be set up in the World Trade Center Saskatoon at Prairieland Park.

The show is offering a whole host of fun features this year, starting every day with the Make & Take Workshop. No need to register in advance, just come to Hall C and make a beautiful tropical arrangement to take home. Make sure you also head over to the display gardens, which showcase the very best in landscape design and can give you inspiration for your own garden. You can pick up some original art for your home and garden at the GardenScapes Art Show & Sale as well.

Planet Dog will be providing the feature presentation for the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape this year, and attendance is completely free with general admission. The family-friendly show and its high-flying, puzzle-solving canine stars are sure to impress. Shows will be taking place multiple times a day, every day of the event.

The hours for the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape 2020 are 11 am to 9 pm on Friday, 9 am to 7 pm on Saturday, and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

Following the show, there will also be a cash & carry plant sale and a live auction taking place in Hall C. The plant sale is a great opportunity to purchase garden stock like bulbs, trees, shrubs, house plants, annuals, perennials, and more, all at value prices. The auction will include all of the plant material used to decorate the show. The plant sale begins at 6 pm, and the live auction will start at 6:30 pm.

Admission to the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape is available as a one-day ticket ($12.50), a two-day ticket ($18.00), or a three-day ticket ($26.00). Note that admissions at the door are cash-only, but you can buy your tickets online ahead of time. Students 15 years and younger get into the show for free, and there is no admission charge for the Sunday plant sale.

This year marks the 31st edition of the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape. The long-running event is put together by the Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation with support from a committee of dedicated volunteers.

Whether you want to get stocked up on gardening supplies or pick the brain of an industry expert, there’s always something at the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape for outdoor aficionados and green thumbs of all skill levels. It really is a great way to welcome spring in Saskatoon.
