2018 Nissan Maxima
The Four Door Sports Car

The dramatically styled 2018 Maxima, created by driving enthusiasts for driving enthusiasts, looks like nothing else on the road today – and drives like nothing in the segment either. It not only resets Maxima’s iconic “4-Door Sports Car” positioning, it sets a new standard for style, performance and technology in the large sedan segment.

Maxima offers design elements you just won’t find on the competition. A massive dual-panel panoramic moonroof makes everyone feel like they’re right up in the clouds. The pillars appear to meld into the glasswork, giving the illusion of a roof that hovers over the cabin like a fighter jet canopy.

Maxima’s luxurious interior features available quilted, Italian-made Alcantara—a material that’s usually reserved for the highest of high-end performance cars. Pair that with front Zero Gravity seats, designed to help provide a natural driving posture and help take pressure off your lower back, and you’ve got yourself unmatched interior comfort.

Maxima’s 3.5-litre VQ-series V6 has 300 horsepower and boasts an impressive output of 85.7 horsepower/litre. Complementing its potent powerplant is a performance-oriented Xtronic transmission featuring a wider ratio range, allowing for stronger acceleration from a standing start and an all-new D-Step shifting logic that provides rapid shifts at high throttle openings.

Maxima’s next-generation technology features include a standard NissanConnectSM with navigation. The NissanConnect system is paired with a standard 7.0-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display (ADAD) within the instrument cluster.

The new Maxima also offers an extensive range of safety, security and driving aids, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) and Blind Spot Warning (BSW). These features are available on Maxima SL, SR and Platinum grades. Maxima also offers an available Driver Attention Alert (DAA) system, which monitors steering input patterns to establish a baseline and helps alert the driver when drowsy or inattentive driving is detected (Maxima Platinum only).

Maxima’s Intelligent Around View® Monitor outsmarts the competition’s backup monitors and rearview mirrors. It’s the only system that not only shows you what’s directly behind your vehicle, but also gives you a virtual 360º view of your surroundings, and helps detect certain moving objects in close proximity.

Using radar technology to keep an eye on your speed and proximity to the vehicle ahead, Maxima’s Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB) gives you audio and visual display warnings to help you reduce your speed if necessary. If a collision is unavoidable, this feature will engage the brakes to help reduce both the speed of the impact and the severity of a collision.

Maxima’s standard Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW) system is so intuitive, it can alert you to potential risks up ahead by monitoring the first two vehicles in front of you. That’s right, two; which means it can see what you—and the competition—can’t.

Maxima’s Driver Attention Alert (DAA) system monitors your steering patterns, and alerts you with a chime and lit up coffee cup icon if it detects unusual steering activity that may indicate fatigue.

Don’t delay. Click the TEST DRIVE button below for an opportunity to be impressed by a complete tour and road test of Maxima’s aggressive style and performance.
