All Ages Fun at the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival

Back for its 18th year, the annual Mount Forest Fireworks Festival of Mount Forest, Ontario once again promises three full days of fun activities and attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

Always held during the third weekend of July, the 2018 festival will be taking place from July 20th to July 22nd in the heart of Mount Forest. For admission to the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival, all you have to do is purchase a wristband. Wristbands cost $10 per person or $35 for a family bundle of four wristbands.

One of the main reasons that people flock to the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival is for the rides and games provided by Albion Amusements. There are always a variety of games and rides for festivalgoers of all ages to enjoy. Food trucks serving up delicious meals will be there to help keep you energized and fully enjoying all of the activities and live entertainment. The festival also features a Kids Zone with activities and feature shows designed for children from toddlers to pre-teens.

Saturday is easily the most action-packed day of the festival, with a plethora of activities on the schedule. It all starts with the Classic Car Show, a staple of the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival which, along with the festival, is also back for its 18th year. Main Street will be completely shut down in order to showcase more than 500 classic cars from around the province. Make sure you check out the local merchants, vendors, and live performers as well. The Classic Car Show will run from 8 am to 3 pm.

If you’re interested in a truly exciting adventure, then you can take flight with Great Lakes Helicopter Rides. Helicopters will be taking off from 10 am until dusk on Saturday from Cork Street and Waterloo Street. Festival wristbands are required, and helicopter ride tickets will cost an additional $50 per person or $120 for a group of three. You’ll get to enjoy a flight time of approximately eight minutes.

Cork Street will be hosting three unique activities on Saturday, each of which you should try out at least once. Always wanted to play real-life Mario Cart? Round up some friends and show everyone what you’ve got. Curious about axe throwing? Make sure you’re at the festival grounds between 3:30 pm and 8:30 pm to learn proper technique from the Backyard Axe Throwing League. If you’d rather sit back and watch other people perform the risky stunts, then you can instead check out the Krusher BMX Big Air Stunt Show at 4 pm or 6:15 pm.

Finally, if there’s one event you can’t miss, it’s the Spectacular Fireworks Display. It is the namesake of the festival, after all. The fireworks will begin at dusk on Saturday, July 21st, so if there’s only one day that you can make it out to the festival, make sure it’s that one.

If you’re looking for something fun to do in Ontario over the final July weekend, then look no further than the exciting and action-packed Mount Forest Fireworks Festival. Round up your friends and family to play some games, try out some rides and, of course, take in the fireworks spectacular.
