Congratulations Trennt and Evelyn
Locally trained skaters on the world stage

Trennt Michaud was a long way from home and he couldn’t have been happier.
The 22-year-old Belleville born Michaud and his partner Evelyn Walsh of London were in Saitama Japan competing for Canada at the World Figure Skating Championships.

The two-time Junior Canadian Pairs champions were skating at the senior level for the first time at the Worlds. The short program was Wednesday and the Free Skate was on Thursday. The result was a very impressive 12th place finish!

Congratulations, Trennt & Evelyn! We are so proud.

Trennt & Evelyn train here in Brantford at Gretzky arena with their coach & choreographer Alison Purkiss.

Michaud is Belleville’s 2018 Athlete of the Year.
