The West Coast Auto Group stands up against distracted driving
Customers pledge to #TakeTheWheel and drive distraction free this March

Beginning in March, the West Coast Auto Group is taking part in a national campaign to eliminate a growing threat to our community: distracted driving.

Inattention while behind the wheel is a factor in approximately four million vehicle collisions in North America every year (RCMP, 2014). As part of the 2018 Auto Dealers Against Distracted Driving campaign, we’re asking our employees and customers to help us bring an end to this dangerous behaviour.

Throughout the month of March, you can make a formal pledge to drive distraction free in the following ways:

Now in its fourth year, the Auto Dealers Against Distracted Driving Campaign is organized by LGM Financial Services, a leading provider of OEM-branded automotive finance and insurance products.

With the ambitious goal of gathering more than 20,000 pledges, the campaign aims to raise awareness across the country and encourage positive driving habits. Each pledge will result in LGM donating $1 towards education and research on road safety, up to $20,000. Proceeds from the dollar-per-pledge initiative will go to the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF).

The campaign is generously supported by The Co-operators, The Sovereign General Insurance Company, Canadian AutoWorld, Canadian Autojournal and Autosphere.ca.
