When required, the Camry’s AWD system can direct up to 50 per cent of engine torque to the rear wheels – in response to acceleration from a standing start, or slippage by the front wheels. Notably, when all-wheel drive isn’t required – such as on long highway stretches – the electromagnetic-controlled coupling on the front of the rear-wheel-drive axle can disengage the propeller shaft from the differential to save fuel. The AWD system will re-engage in an instant when needed and is transparent to the driver.

The Toyota Camry AWD also comes equipped with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, air conditioning, LED headlamps, keyless entry with remote trunk release, a multi-information display, backup camera, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 and the Star Safety System. The 2020 Toyota Camry LE AWD features 17” alloy wheels, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, fabric seat coverings, a 7” multi-information display, and electric parking brake.
