Fabulous Finds at Kelowna’s Indoor Winter Market

Checking out farmers’ markets in Kelowna doesn’t have to be limited to the summertime. You can also find local food and handcrafted goods during the colder months at the Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Indoor Winter Market.

Kelowna’s premier indoor market, the Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market is currently in full swing and will be sticking around through to the end of February. It will be open on almost every Saturday from now until then at the Parkinson Recreation Centre, with the exception of Saturday, February 17th. The market runs from 9 am to 1 pm and is completely free for anyone to attend.

The Farmers’ and Crafters’ Indoor Winter Market features a variety of food, farm, and artisanal vendors from between the communities of Summerland and Armstrong. Here is a quick overview of the crafts, produce, and food you can expect to find there.

Arts, Crafts, and Artisan Vendors

Kelowna’s Farmers’ and Crafters’ Indoor Winter Market is a great place to shop for everyday items, chic accessories, bath and body products, or home décor. You’ll also find a variety of quality handcrafted leather products, jewellery, kitchen utensils, footwear, and more. The indoor market is also a good place to pick up gifts for friends and loved ones or to pick up some beautiful artwork for your home.

Arts, crafts, and Artisan vendors at the market this year include Bare Nature Products, GZ Pendants, A & J Leather, Nooks Footwear, Sims Jewellery Co., Orchard Valley Soaps, and Dom Thompson Woodwork.

Farm and Produce Vendors

The Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Indoor Winter Market is also the perfect place to visit if you’re looking for natural and organically farmed produce. The availability of fresh fruits and vegetables does, of course, depend on the season, but storage crops and other farmed products are available in the winter. You’ll always be able to find some delicious farm ingredients to liven up your dishes.

Farm and produce vendors at the market this year include Gambell Farms, Green Croft Gardens, Sumaq Valley Alpaca Flying Leaf Tea Co., and Brainy Bee Honey.

Food and Concession Vendors

While you’re browsing the Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Indoor Winter Market for farm-fresh produce and artisanal arts and crafts, you can stop for a bite to eat at one of the many food and concession vendors. The market’s concession vendors serve ready-to-eat goodies while other food vendors sell everything from mouth-watering smoked salmon to dried soup mixes that you can take home.

Food and concession vendors at the market this year include King’s Vegetarian Food, Simply Delish Soup & Salad Co., Spudstix, The Allergic Chef, The Coffee Guy, Oh Natural Foods, and 2 Ladies Soupin It Up.
