2018 Nissan Pathfinder
Your Partner in Safe Travels

Today, Pathfinder is one of the most popular on-road-focused, family-friendly three-row crossovers available. With standard seating for seven, an eager V-6 engine with an efficient CVT transmission, available all-wheel drive, and a host of technological systems designed to keep you and your passengers safe, the current, fourth-generation Pathfinder is a well-rounded and extremely comfortable SUV with lofty aspirations.

Just walking around a Pathfinder will make you feel more confident about getting to your destination safely. The Pathfinder is clearly rugged, but also refined, having matured considerably since it’s early “rocks and mud” days. Muscular from every angle, the Pathfinder’s signature broad shoulders are quite low, allowing for a spacious interior, filled with natural light.

Inside, you’ll find Pathfinder’s interior – especially in fully loaded Platinum models – will provide a wonderfully plush and comfortable environment thanks to soft leather and other upscale materials. This Nissan so luxurious in its upper trim levels that it makes far more expensive rivals look grossly overpriced. The Pathfinder is famous for its value, and this latest iteration, loaded with even more features, is by far the best value of any Pathfinder yet.

Automated emergency braking now is standard on all Pathfinders, as is a new category exclusive feature called the Rear Door Alert system. Rear Door Alert reminds drivers to check the rear seat when exiting the vehicle in case they have left any precious cargo inside. Connectivity-wise, four additional USB ports have been added to rave reviews of teenagers and smartphone addicts everywhere.

No other SUV in this class gives you the choice of 2WD, 4WD and Auto Modes. Turn the Intelligent 4×4 Dial, located just behind the gearshift, to lock into 4WD on rough terrain and in inclement weather. Turn it again to switch into 2WD for better mileage. The intuitive Auto Mode senses slippery roads or rough terrain and automatically adjusts power to each wheel. When things smooth out, it switches back to 2WD.

Pathfinder can comfortably accommodate seven passengers and offers a combined 4,468 L (158 cu. ft) of interior space. Fold down the 3rd-row seats and you’ll open up a comfortable 1354 L (47 cu. ft.), or drop both the 2nd- and 3rd- rows and you’ve got a virtually flat space with a cavernous 2260 L (79.8 cu. ft.) of cargo for serious hauling.

Pathfinder was awarded a five-star overall safety score from NHTSA (out of a possible five stars) and earned the Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS. A Pathfinder fitted with the automatic emergency braking and forward collision systems received a Superior rating after it avoided a 12-mph collision and reduced the impact of a 25-mph crash by 14 mph. Additional active safety tech like blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, Moving Object Detection, and adaptive cruise control are also available.
