2017 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X
A Mid-Size Truck with A Full-Size Work Ethic

The Nissan Frontier® may not be big on the outside, but it has a big heart and a go anywhere, do anything attitude. Decked out in PRO 4X trim with a 4.0-litre engine, Bilstein® off-road shock absorbers, skid plates, fog lights, and a full-length boxed ladder frame just like its big brother, the full-sized Titan, the Frontier is not to be underestimated. Here are some of the reasons why:

Power and Torque
With its 4.0-litre V6 engine packing 261 horsepower, the Frontier® practically demands hard work. And with a massive 281 lb.-ft. of torque, you can tow or haul just about anything you need to bring along. The V6 is available with either a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.

Towing Confidence
The PRO-X Frontier is tow-rated at an impressive 3,044kg (6,710lbs) and the available RearView Monitor feature automatically activates whenever you’re in reverse, making it ideal for lining up your approach to a trailer.

Safety First and Always
An array of other safety features are standard including:

  • Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps you maintain steering control around obstacles while braking heavily.
  • Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) sends extra force to the rear brakes when you have the additional weight of passengers or cargo in the back.
  • Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) helps you maintain your steered path.
  • Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS) senses when a wheel begins to slip, then automatically brakes the slipping wheel and sends additional power to those with the best traction.

Hill Start Assist
When starting up steep hills, hill start assist helps keep you from rolling backwards. It briefly holds brake pressure so you can switch from the brake pedal to the accelerator.

Hill Descent Control
When driving down a steep grade in 4WD, hill descent control automatically maintains speed and brake pressure to help provide a controlled descent.

Electronic Locking Rear Differential
Adding to the capability of the 4×4, the available electronic-locking rear differential delivers equal power to both rear wheels, boosting traction to help keep you moving forward

Pillarless Entry
A genius passenger entrance features rear doors that give your passengers easy access to the cabin. And with no B-pillars, you also get a huge opening for oversized items. Once the entire side of the cab is opened up, two rear seats flip up and out of the way to reveal a wide-open space for cargo.

Nissan ConnectTM
Your own hand-picked music, latest tweets, TripAdvisor® tips, Facebook® events, and more, are all available via your compatible smartphone and Frontier’s available colour touch-screen. Also available is the Nissan Navigation System with Nissan Voice Recognition, hands-free text messaging, Bluetooth® hands-free calling and streaming audio, plus an iPod®/USB input.

So, if you’re in the market for a truck that knows how to work hard, but don’t want the added bulk and thirst of a full-size, stop by and test drive a Nissan Frontier PRO-4X today. Chances are you two will be fast friends.
