2018 Kia Sportage
Made for Active Lifestyles (video)

Kia’s popular compact SUV has a style and attitude unlike anything else in its category. With available 19-inch machine-finished alloys and eye-catching LED light bar taillights, the features and finishes on Sportage will make even the fiercest competitor do a double take. This is not a vehicle that will be easy to lose in a mall parking lot.

Inside, the new-look interior is more than just contemporary and features improved practicality and a range of technologies to improve comfort, convenience, connectivity and safety. The new Sportage now offers enhanced efficiency and performance, while ride, handling and refinement are also all improved.

Not only does the available Smart key make push-button starts possible, the available welcome lighting system automatically senses your key as you approach, unfolds the mirrors and illuminates the door handle pockets and interior lights to provide a welcome reception.

The heated side view mirrors not only improve visibility in frosty climates, they also conveniently tuck away when parked on EX and SX models. Plus, the available integrated turn signal repeaters make your every move well-known.

A 2.4-litre direct-injected engine producing 181 horsepower comes standard, but if you’re looking for even more power, an available 2.0-litre turbocharged engine produces an impressive 237 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque. Depending on what powertrain option you choose, Sportage is capable of a mileage rating of up to 10.3 / 7.8 City/Hwy (L/100km).

Designed with the unexpected in Mind

  • If you happen to drift out of your lane, the available Lane Departure Warning system will notify you with an audible and visual alert to help keep you out of harm’s way.
  • The Sportage also comes with an available Autonomous Emergency Braking system that intervenes automatically, providing full braking assistance, up to a complete stop when possible if it detects a potential collision with a vehicle in front of you.
  • Available Dynamax™ Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) offers fully automatic torque distribution that proactively transfers torque for better traction during acceleration, cornering or in low traction scenarios.

  • Every Sportage comes standard with Drive Mode Select function which adjusts power delivery, transmission shift points and steering feedback to suit road, weather conditions and your driving style. Choose from Normal mode, Eco, or Sport.
  • The available blind spot detection system actively monitors your blind spots for approaching vehicles and provides a visual alert on the instrument cluster and outside mirrors, as well as an audible alert when necessary.
  • When backing out of a parking space, available Rear Cross Traffic Alert detects and warns you of traffic approaching from the left or right.
  • The 2018 Sportage comes with many standard safety features, like Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control and Downhill Brake Control, to help keep you safe behind the wheel.
