2018 Kia Soul EV
0% Emissions, 100% Fun!

Looking for an EV that doesn’t cost crazy money or resemble an anonymous jelly bean? Kia might just have what you need with the electrified version of its fun and functional Soul EV.

A bigger battery also means a longer range on a full charge. The current Soul EV comes with a 93-mile range, but the extra capacity should see the upcoming 2018 model top the 100-mile mark. According to a leaked document, the NEDC range increases from 212 to 250 km.

The front design for Soul EV offers all the stand-out style of the regular gas-powered Soul with the addition of hidden convenience. The unique front bumper is sleek and stylish, while under the grille, you’ll discover two charging ports — including the 480V fast charge port that provides up to 80% charge in only 23 minutes.

Efficient and aerodynamic wheels are only the beginning. The Soul EV features a regenerative braking system that captures a bit of energy every time you brake or coast. Fully charged, the Soul EV battery provides an estimated range of 179 km. Plus, its flat design and location beneath the floor mean it takes up less room in the cabin — giving you loads of extra space for wherever the road takes you.

From the rear, Soul EV proudly displays its sportiness. With a strong, attention-grabbing rear design, stunning LED light bar taillights and no exhaust pipe, the Soul EV is just as good looking as it is for the environment.

The Soul EV’s electric motor offers 109 horsepower and its unique, multi-layer magnet design provides quiet, smooth-power performance. Its lightweight design helps deliver swift acceleration for an exciting and efficient drive.

With an electric drivetrain, there’s no revving up or switching gears. The Soul EV’s electric motor delivers 210 lb.-ft. of instant torque, giving you immediate responsiveness and smooth, dynamic acceleration the moment you put your foot on the pedal.

The Organic LED Supervision instrument cluster helps you manage the many energy-smart innovations found inside the Soul EV. Easily access important information, like range and charge status. The standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ systems allow you to play your music, navigate traffic, check your messages and access your favourite apps all with the sound of your voice.

At the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, Kia announced the addition of UVO Agent to select Soul EV models, which allows Kia owners to interact with the Google Assistant on their phones or Google Home to execute a variety of remote commands.

Start or stop effortlessly with the Smart key remote with push-button start. With just a touch, you can get on your way — even with the key fob tucked away.

Parking problems are a thing of the past. The Soul EV has an available sonar system in each bumper that detects and provides warnings if objects are a little too close for comfort when you park.
