2018 Kia Rondo
Made for Urban Versatility

Kia’s Rondo SUV was designed and engineered from a clean sheet to meet the needs of modern families with sleek aerodynamics and a world-class design, blending contemporary and distinctive exterior styling with a fresh, trendy interior. Infused Style and Practicality From the ground up, the Rondo is a wonder ready to take you anywhere, anytime.

“The Rondo offers versatility and exudes a new-found sense of luxury in the urban utility vehicle segment while continuing to offer the flexibility of seven-passenger seating as an essential feature”, said Robert Staffieri, Director of Marketing, Kia Canada Inc.

Rondo’s “face”, featuring Kia’s new interpretation of the signature grille, flows into a sporty profile silhouette. Its sleek and sculpted design marks a dramatic shift away from the anonymous norm of the category.

With available 18” machined-finish alloy wheels, High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon projector headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED light bar technology taillights, night or day, Rondo stands out.

Rondo continues to build on its reputation for functionality, flexibility, adaptability and versatility, including available five or seven-passenger seating. With generously proportioned cargo space, numerous stowage spaces and a luxurious interior, the all-new Rondo will impress equally inside and out.

“I wanted to give the new Rondo a sleeker look and feel, to create a design that envelops its functionality and versatility in something altogether more athletic and dynamic,” says Peter Schreyer, Kia’s chief of design.

Beneath the hood there is a new 2.0-litre gasoline direct injection (GDI) four-cylinder engine, producing 164 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque, using either a 6- speed manual or an available 6-speed automatic transmission.

Stepping inside the 2014 Rondo, passengers will first notice an available large panoramic sunroof and available luxurious high-grade leather with 2nd and 3rd row foldable seating, offering various seating configurations and an endless amount of passenger and cargo options.

Standard interior features on the 2014 Rondo includes air conditioning, 2nd-row ventilation, power windows, heated front seats, a six speaker audio system and keyless entry with power locks. Rondo’s interior also offers an available heated steering wheel, heated second row seating, ventilated driver seat, automatic dual-zone climate control, 10-way power driver’s seat with an extendable cushion optimizing thigh support, SuperVision instrument cluster, premium sound system paired with an all-new multimedia interface featuring navigation and family-friendly manual integrated side window blinds.

The available rear parking sensors and rear-view camera on equipped models also offer extended safety when reversing. The Rondo will also offer FlexSteer – giving the driver the ability to choose between comfort, normal and sport-tuned steering settings on the fly.

Rondo also offers a full suite of advanced active safety features such as electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist control (HAC), four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist system (BAS), electronic brake distribution and Kia’s advanced Vehicle Stability Management System (VSM.
