2018 Ford F-150
More of Everything, Including Choices

In 2017, the Ford celebrated 100 years of trucks and to absolutely no-one’s surprise, for the 47th straight year, the F-150 was once again the best-selling vehicle in Canada. So how does Ford plan on following up decades of unwavering popularity and industry accolades? By making the 2018 F-150 even better.

The 2018 F-150 was first unveiled at the Detroit Auto show.  Everyone wanted to know what Ford had in store for the latest revision of the most popular pickup truck in history. After becoming the industry’s first all-aluminum-bodied pickup in 2017, what could possibly be next?

Let’s start with what hasn’t changed first. As we mentioned, the F-150 became the industry’s first pickup truck to feature a high-strength, military-grade aluminum body for more strength and less weight. That makes the F-150 is more capable because more power is available to work instead of simply pulling its own weight around. That feature alone remains years ahead of the competition and not one single challenger has been able to offer it since.

Curb Appeal

Now let’s get to the “eye candy”.  The new F-150 features a more chiseled and rugged look with several new grilles, bumpers, and headlamps, all helping to create a wider-looking stance. A total of six all-new wheel designs from 17 to 22 inches in diameter add to a fresh new look. Inside, new colours for seating trim are also available including ”Navy Pier” for Limited models and “Dark Marsala” the Platinum trim level.

Tech Appeal

In today’s market, drivers have extremely high expectations of technological features for entertainment, connectivity and most importantly, safety. The F-150 does not disappoint, offering Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go functionality, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane-Keeping System, BLIS® blind spot coverage with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage, and the cutting edge Ford SYNC Connect and FORDPASS.

Engine Appeal

Ford trucks are most famous for their work ethic and 2018 models now offer “the most advanced F-150 engine lineup ever”.

An all-new 3.3L V6 engine comes standard, but an all-new second-generation 2.7L EcoBoost, 3.5L EcoBoost, 3.0L. PowerStroke and an improved 5.0L V8 are all available. More importantly, each engine can be mated up to an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission tough enough to even find service in the now legendary F-150 Raptor!

So, if you need a truck, but haven’t been to a Ford dealership in a few years, prepare to be amazed. No matter what your lifestyle or needs, there’s an F-150 designed specifically for you.
