The 2018 Honda Odyssey
Redesigned with More Features

It’s not too soon to talk about the 2018 Honda Odyssey.  In fact, the new Honda Odyssey has had the members of the car world press buzzing for months, and here’s part of the reason why:

  • Newly designed cabin

  • Newly upgraded safety features

  • Toys for the kids

Take a Look Around

In a world full of SUVs, the minivan is overlooked sometimes, but you’ll be glad that you gave the 2018 Honda Odyssey a second glance. And a third.

The first thing Honda did was quiet down the cabin by adding triple door seals that shut out all sorts of road noise, which is exactly what you will have as you drive this fuel-efficient passenger van while on vacation. They increased the sound deadening and offer acoustic front and side glass for further quiet.

Since it is built for vacations, as well as hockey practice, the interior must be versatile in order to get everyone in and still have room for their sporting equipment. That is why Honda changed the seating by adding a Magic Slide second row seat that gives you the ability to configure it in a way that suits your needs.

You can remove the centre seat in the second row, and push the captain’s chairs together for more cargo space. You can even just leave them in place for more room between the seats. You can bring one of the second row seats up to the front, which puts a child within reach of the front seat. You can tilt the seat back and get open access to the third row. No matter how you need to configure them, these seat arrangements make travelling that much easier for everyone.

Entertain Them

Another thing that makes long trips easier is the ability to keep the back seat passengers entertained. Honda’s got your back here. They updated the entertainment technology in the 2018 Odyssey and display it on an 8-inch touchscreen centre. They even give you a traditional knob to control it. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There is a rear entertainment system that lets you give the youngsters something to do while travelling. Available 4G LTE Wi-Fi lets you connect to streaming videos and other entertainment. The CabinControl app for your phone lets you control the entertainment, rear climate and tell the navigation system where you’re headed.

Here’s another thing you’re going to love: CabinWatch. Onboard cameras let you see everything going on in the back in real time on the display screen. CabinTalk lets you speak to them through the rear speakers and entertainment headphones. No one can get away with anything back there.

Even More Upgrades

The Odyssey is equipped with the latest safety technology like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist and parking sensors.

The 2018 Odyssey has a 3.5-litre V6 for 280 horses, which is 32 over the 2017 model. Depending upon the model, it’s equipped with a 9-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission. Due to higher strength steel and lightweight aluminium and magnesium construction, it is lighter weight and more responsive. Improved steering and suspension systems also contribute to the better handling improvement.

Just in time for summer vacations, the 2018 Honda Odysseys will start making their way to the dealerships soon. Bring the family and come test drive a new Odyssey today.
