Trent Valley Honda is very committed to supporting worthwhile causes, but as a mama of two myself, I find the annual Salvation Army Toy Drive a cause that is close to my heart.
Our local Salvation Army provides much more than toys for the children of our community, but also food & breakfast programs, summer camp and counselling to name a few. As many of us know, the Christmas season is not always a joyous season and when resources are tight, and loss or stressors are many, the thought of the holiday season can be more of a dread. The Salvation Army toy drive aims to brighten the season for children in our community by providing toys and gifts, and our dealership was proud to be one of the many drop-off locations in the area.
Not only was collecting toys an exciting part of the adventure for us here at the dealership but Aldo and myself (Alessandra) had the awesome privilege of bringing the donations to Lansdowne Place mall on Saturday, December 9th and participating in the Country 105/ Energy 99.7 Miracle Broadcast.
It was quite something to see the mountain of toys building and local children participate by choosing gifts to donate (even if it was hard to actually give it up in the end). Every big and little toy offers a bit of Christmas joy to little ones who might not have had as many reasons to squeal with excitement as others.
Thank you, Peterborough, for supporting this cause and for choosing to spread joy this holiday season.
Happy Holidays!
