The 2018 Honda Accord received one of Canada’s highest automotive accolades this past month at the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto. Being awarded the 2018 Car of the Year is no small feat, and is a reflection of a year of testing and two rounds of voting by nearly 100 members of the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada. All vehicles in the running were assessed throughout the year by voters who both drove and tested them in a variety of conditions. All vehicles were scored anonymously on factors like comfort, convenience, practical performance, features, technology, design, fuel consumption and value for money.

The Honda line up is no stranger to awards of this calibre, 2018 marks the third consecutive year that a Honda model has received top honours from the North American jury of automotive journalists, with the Honda Civic winning the car award in 2016 and Honda Ridgeline winning the truck award in 2017.
