Celebrate Canada Day Weekend at Toronto Ribfest

Looking for an exciting Canada Day weekend celebration where you can also eat your fill of mouth-watering barbeque? Toronto Ribfest has been delivering on these dreams since 1999 and is ready to do so again.

Toronto Ribfest is returning to Etobicoke Centennial Park at the end of June with live entertainment, fun activities, and, of course, plenty of food. This premier family event will be taking place from June 29th until July 2nd. There’s no chance you’ll ever leave Toronto Ribfest hungry, especially not with the festival’s long hours. It will be held from 11 am to 10 pm from June 29th to July 1st, and from 11 am to 8 pm on the final day.

This not-for-profit, completely volunteer-run festival is hosted by the Etobicoke Rotary Club. All proceeds from the event are donated to programs that help the community. Since Toronto Ribfest first began, it has raised over $4 million dollars for charitable causes.

The main attraction of Toronto Ribfest is the succulent ribs and other delicious foods on the menu. Over a dozen teams of talented and experienced ribbers will be there to serve up tender barbeque ribs that just fall right off the bone. A variety of other food vendors will also be ready to delight your taste buds with chicken, burgers, fries, veggies, nachos, and an array of additional tasty treats.

You’ll no doubt come for the food but, after you’ve had your fill, you’ll be staying at Toronto Ribfest for the fun. This fantastic food festival just happens to be one of the hottest local music festivals as well. Three professional stages will be hosting over a dozen different bands playing your favourite rock, jazz, blues, and country music tunes. Performances start early in the day and continue on well into the night.

There will be plenty of other activities at Toronto Ribfest to keep the whole family entertained, including a massive midway, line dancing, axe throwing, and even a mechanical bull! If you’re a fan of food judging shows like Top Chef Canada or Masterchef Canada, then you’ll want to check out the celebrity food judging events as well.

Want a chance to enjoy the food, music, and beer gardens without the little ones in tow? Take a breather by dropping them off at the festival’s Kids Zone. They’ll be kept busy with a plethora of fun activities while you can sit back and unwind.

If there’s any day that you really have to come down to Toronto Ribfest, it’s Canada Day. There will be magic shows, free face painting, special performances, and after the sun goes down, a fireworks extravaganza. What better way to celebrate Canada’s 151st birthday?

With Toronto Ribfest just around the corner, it’s time to start planning your visit. Whether you only go for a day or for the entire long weekend, make sure you sample some of the food, check out some of the entertainment, and take part in some of the many activities that will be set up around Centennial Park.
