A Slick Electric SUV

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV brings uncompromising luxury and excitement to the electric SUV class.

All-New Luxury

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS is the latest SUV to join the automaker’s growing portfolio of electric models. It’s the first SUV built on Mercedes-Benz’s modular electric vehicle (EV) platform, which is also featured on the EQE and EQS sedans.

“Mercedes’ blend of magnolia wood, leather, and steel, the precise lines and lack of anything extraneous, the way the leather armrests curve into wood trim, all shows an attention to detail unrivaled by other automakers.” – Robert Duffer, The Car Connection

The EQS SUV features three rows of comfortable seats that offer stately comfort in addition to ample cargo space. Its class, comfort, and quiet cabin commingle to provide an elevated sense of luxury to drivers and passengers alike in a fit and finish that once again prove Mercedes-Benz is peerless when it comes to interiors.

Power to Advance

The electric powertrains in the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV are similar to those in the SUV’s sedan sibling. Advanced dual electric motors generate swift, seamless torque and deliver it to all four wheels on all EQS models. The EQS 450 4MATIC delivers 355 horsepower and rushes to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. It promises an estimated 491 km of driving range per charge.

For total power, the EQS 580 4MATIC delivers 536 horsepower and acceleration to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. With the additional power, the estimated EV driving range is slightly lower at 458 km.

And while the EQS SUV is made for luxury, the power is not just for show. The EQS features a dedicated off-road mode that is actually made for trails, not just dusty roads. This mode can raise the ride height, optimize the powertrain, and offer useful graphic displays in the dash.

“What’s most commendable about the EQS SUV is its ability to thread through even the tightest obstacles. Thanks to that 10-degree rear-axle steering, the EQS SUV has a tighter turning radius than a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, an impressive showing for a seemingly road-oriented EV. Adding to the off-road fun is the electric motors’ instant torque — just squeeze on the accelerator a little at a time, and the EQS eventually claws its way up, even if the surface is muddy, rutted, and rocky. Color me impressed.” – Brett T. Evans, Motor1

Feature Rich

While many different trim levels are available for the EQS SUV, every single one is loaded with features. Leather upholstery, 64-colour ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, and a biometric fingerprint scanner are just a few of the high-tech, high-quality features included on the SUV.

But all of them pale in comparison to the available and mesmerizing 56-inch Hyperscreen which stretches across the full length of the dashboard and provides a digital gauge cluster, 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen in front of the passengers. With or without the Hyperscreen, drivers are treated to wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto wireless device charging, and the Burmester audio system.

When you think of EVs, the power, precision, and class of Mercedes-Benz likely does not jump to mind. However, with the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS, you can go further than you ever thought possible. This EV does not require any trade-offs.
