Peace of Minds Yogathon
Everyone deserves peace of mind. This winter, help give peace of mind to individuals and families across Ontario by participating in a yoga event. Funds raised will go toward innovative programs and services to help SSO support people living with mental illness and their families.
Taste of Burlington runs as a prix-fixe program twice each year in February/March and again in August/September, with restaurants across the city offering a prix-fixe dining menu for lunch/dinner; with lunch offered at $15,$20 or $25 and dinner at $30, $35 or $40. However, the rest of the year we promote Culinary programs and events in and around Burlington, such as Burlington Food Tours, E-A-T, Lakeside a la Carte and more!
Feel the Burl: A Comedy Cabaret

With their sitters on duty and their cell phones almost on silent, comedic artists, best friends and supermoms Lisa and Shoshana are ready to party like it’s 1999. Prepare to get totally out of control, but only until just past 10pm. Each cabaret will feature a Surprise Special Guest, specializing in musical theatre, stand-up, or drag – as well as Surprise Local Guests. So let’s take a deep breath, let our pelvic floors drop and Feel The Burl.

It`s cold out there. The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly walk that raises money for charities serving hungry, homeless, and hurting people in our community.
4 pm: Registration opens
5 pm: Opening Ceremonies
5:15 pm: Walk begins (all distances)
6 pm: Registration closes
6 pm: Meal service begins
8 pm: Route closes, meal service ends
Yummy Food on Event Day:
Between 6:00 and 8:00 pm a warm, light meal will be served to all walkers and volunteers.
The 2020 Annual Show will take place on Saturday, February 29, 2020 (noon to 5 pm) and Sunday, March 1, 2020 (10 am to 5 pm) at the Royal Botanical Gardens, 680 Plains Road West, Burlington, Ontario. Winter Exhibit: Wildlife Rescue
January 18 to April 13, 2020, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; RBG Centre
Enter the fascinating world of Wildlife Rescue, an eye-opening, inspiring and wildly interactive exhibit for all ages!
Step into recovery efforts and “meet” the people who dedicate their lives to saving and releasing endangered animals. Take a simulated flight to guide young whooping cranes along their first migratory route, learn the methods used to milk Lake Sturgeon and reintroduce them to the Great Lakes, then journey to Africa and Indonesia to witness efforts to successfully raise and release young elephants and orangutans to the wild. Every day is filled with family activities and weekends feature live animal guests from local wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centres.
