I’ve done everything in the service department except fix cars, laughs Kari McManus, Office Manager at Brasso Nissan. Starting out in the wash bay in 2008, Kari moved into various roles that have included Shuttle Driver, Express Bay Advisor, Service Advisor and finally into her current position.

Each position highlighted her great people skills and her ability to identify and assess customers’ needs. As Office Manager, Kari’s role is a myriad of duties ranging from warranty admin, staff training, booking appointments and acting as a “quarter back”

“We see anywhere from 60 – 100 work orders per day, so a lot of the time I’m directing traffic and pointing customers in the direction of who they need to speak to.”

The aspect of her job she enjoys most is getting to know customers, “It’s nice to see familiar faces. A lot of people have been servicing here for many years and customers are more like friends.”

Why is servicing a vehicle at Brasso different than other dealerships?
She also adds that what sets the Brasso Service Department apart is customer focus. “We treat people how we want to be treated and focus on customer satisfaction. It’s not about what we get, it’s about how much we can take care of you. Everyone should know we are here to take care of you and your vehicle.”
Kari’s favourite vehicle and the one she would like to one day own is the Nissan 370Z. “It’s my number one choice for a sports car, it’s funky, fun, cute and FAST.” In the meantime, her 2009 Versa Note does the trick just fine. “It’s fun to drive, especially because it’s a standard. It’s like driving a rally car!”
