Celebrating Comedy Gold
The 10th Anniversary of Laugh Out Loud Live

Laugh Out Loud Live is a weekly show hosted by Ali Hassan featuring both established and emerging comedians. It is recorded at different venues across Canada and available on the radio, online, or through the Laugh Out Loud podcast. For its 10th anniversary, Laugh Out Loud Live will be coming to the Banff Centre’s Eric Harvie Theatre on Sunday, March 31st. The show, which is suitable for ages 12 and up, will begin at 7:30 pm. General admission will cost $50 per person.

Host Ali Hassan will be taking the stage to introduce the audience to some of the most requested Canadian comedians of the past decade. Ali is himself a stand-up comedian, as well as a radio personality, a television personality, and an actor. Throughout the evening, the following comedians will be taking the stage.

Martha Chaves
A well-known performer at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and at Montreal’s Just for Laughs festival, Martha Chaves has a captivating stage presence and a candid style that appeals her to audiences everywhere. She has evoked laughs on such vastly different stages as the 2015 Pan Am Games and in front of Canadian peacekeeping troops in the Middle East.

Derek Seguin
Derek Seguin is a Montreal-based comedian who has performed at Montreal’s Just for Laughs festival a grand total of nine times, earning a standing ovation during his most recent set. He is also a 25-time veteran of the CBC Radio show “The Debaters” and a winner of Sirius XM’s nationwide “Canada’s Top Comic” competition.

Tim Nutt
Tim Nutt is an expert craftsman, effortlessly weaving hilarious one-liners into relatable stories about everyday life. His smart and sophisticated style has been a hit both in Canada and abroad. Over the course of his 20-year career, Nutt has appeared at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Montreal’s Just for Laughs, Halifax’s HA Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.

Dave Hemstad
Originally a golfer, Dave Hemstad’s sharp change in career trajectory was no doubt the right one. Now a 17-year comedic veteran, Dave is known for his hilarious but clean brand of humour. He has made regular appearances at comedy festivals around the country, and he has also appeared on the TV shows Almost Heroes, Flashpoint, Little Mosque, Lost Girl, and Bomb Girls.

Big Daddy Tazz
Big Daddy Tazz is one of the most beloved Canadian comedians of modern times. He delights audiences at festivals and corporate events not only by making them laugh until they cry but by inspiring and motivating them along the way. His performances regularly earn rave reviews and standing ovations at Canada’s biggest comedy festivals, and he makes regular television appearances on CBC and the Comedy Network.

With these five stellar comedians, the Laugh Out Loud Live 10th Anniversary Celebration is sure to be one of the biggest and funniest Laugh Out Loud Live shows ever. Though it will be recorded for broadcast, there’s nothing quite like attending a show in person and laughing along with the audience. If you’re in the mood to lighten the mood, then clear your schedule on the 31st and come experience comedy gold.
