2017 Nissan Titan King Cab
Six Adults and Five Thousand Kilos of Payload

A new King Cab body is now available for the popular full-size 2017 Nissan TITAN half-ton and TITAN XD. Created by Nissan Design America in San Diego, California, the spacious cabin can seat six adults comfortably. An innovative rear hinge door design allows the rear doors to open wide for easy entry and exit for all passengers.

The larger body will come in trim levels of S, SV and PRO-4X for either model. The 2017 Nissan TITAN King Cab also offers an available “Rear Seat Delete” option that converts the rear passenger row into a rear flat floor to increase cabin cargo space.

“The launch of the new King Cab body is the last step in a journey that began in December 2015 with the debut of the breakthrough TITAN XD, which continues to carve out a unique white space between competitors’ heavy-duty and half-ton trucks,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc.

The TITAN King Cab will be offered in both 4×4 and 4×2 with a 5.6-liter Endurance V8 and 7-speed automatic transmission. The V8 makes 390-horsepower and can haul a payload of up to 744 kg. When properly equipped, the 2017 TITAN has a maximum towing capacity of 4274 kg.

The heavier-duty TITAN XD King Cab will also be available in both 4×2 and 4×4 versions with two engine options: an Endurance 390-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine with 7-speed automatic or an optional Cummins Turbo Diesel 5.0L V8, paired with a powerful 6-speed Aisin A466ND automatic transmission. The Cummins Diesel is rated at 310 horsepower and an impressive 555 lb-ft of torque for a for a hefty payload capacity of up to 1229 kg and a maximum towing capacity of 5674 kg.

The roomy interior is available with a choice of a standard front split bench seat for the S trim, standard front bucket seats for the PRO-4X or as an option for the SV grade. The front seats come with standard front seat heating for the PRO-4X and SV grade and the option to add ventilation to the front seats for the PRO-4X.

All three trim levels have a 60/40-split and fold-down rear seat. The all-new King Cab also offers an industry-first “Rear Seat Delete” option, which will be much appreciated here in the Great White North. It gives the truck owner the flexibility to easily take out the rear seat, rear roof-mounted assist grips and rear heater duct and replace it with an included flat rear loading floor and rear wall finisher, complete with tie-down hooks.

“This feature is going to be extremely well received by commercial truck buyers for its extra utility and secure, climate-safe storage space inside the cab. It’s a real workhorse like the new Single Cab, but with more flexibility to stow equipment and other valuables,” said Diaz.

The Nissan “America’s Best Truck Warranty” is also extended to Canada and features bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/160,934 km, whichever comes first, for all TITAN models and powertrains.
