Musicians and music fans alike in the GTA are getting ready for the most anticipated music event of the season, the fourth annual Music Expo at the Mississauga Convention Centre.

The 2020 Music Expo presented by GeneralMayhem.ca will be taking place on Saturday, January 25th, from 11 am to 4 pm. Since it is only a one-day event that comes just once a year, you should definitely clear your schedule and come experience the excitement.

Whether you are a musician yourself, you are interested in learning a new musical instrument, or you’re simply a music fan, there’s something at the Music Expo for everyone. This all-genre event celebrates pop, country, rock, and more! Music fans of all stripes come to mingle with one another as well as with music industry insiders and well-known musicians.

The biggest draw of the Music Expo is the tradeshow, which will be held for the length of the event. The tradeshow is a great place to meet a wide variety of exhibitors and sponsors who have come to share information about music and the music industry. Some of this year’s exhibitors include GeneralMayhem.ca, Mississauga Music, Agoria Productions, The Song Creation Formula, Canadian Country Music Insider, and The Hook and Co.

Make sure you also stop by the merch tables, where local musicians will be selling their latest merchandise like T-shirts, hats, CDs, posters, and more. They will be happy to talk to you about their music as well as about their upcoming projects and gigs.

Another main reason to come to the Music Expo is to get an autograph and a picture with your favourite musician or music industry professional during the Autograph Sessions. Confirmed names for this year’s Autograph Sessions include Rebecca Rain, Alan Cross, Elsa Hsieh, Dwayne LaForme, Gord Deppe, Alyssa Pridham, Dinosaur Earth Society, Carlos Morgan, and Dawn Gibson.

Two other places you need to check out at the Music Expo are Musicians Alley and Acoustic Showcase. Musicians Alley will be a great place to connect with other musicians and chat about all of the latest musical equipment. At the Acoustic Showcase, you’ll be able to catch some fantastic acoustic performances.

If you have any old records or CDs that you want to sell or trade for other records and CDs, make sure you bring those along to the Music Expo as well. There will be a Record Corner where music fans can browse each other’s wares and buy, sell, or trade whatever they like.

Don’t forget that there will also be plenty of prizes given away during the event! Prizes include posters, books, tech, coaching sessions, gift certificates, and more. You can sign up for these prizes at the tradeshow booths of the sponsors and exhibitors offering them.
